Yesterday morning (Dec 5, 2020) when I woke up and expecting for just another Saturday with a coffee. This picture with my brother just popped up in notification and says “1 Year Ago” from Vancouver. This was my second overseas trip, I can say the life changing trip.

On this Day (Dec 6, 2020), I wrote my first medium article and shared my excitement for attending one of the top most conference in AI : NeurIPS ’19. This Conference is a dream for all the AI enthusiast, were you get to meet lots and lots of great people.

Like other AI enthusiast went to the conference and tried to meet new people and learnt as much as I can from great people from the community. I should say this changed my perspective of looking the ML world and drove me to who I am now, Machine Learning Engineer in one of the top leading B2B company.

In this one year travel, we all know COVID turned everyone lifestyle by making us be inside the home and spend most of the time sitting in a chair with a laptop. Even though, it helped me a lot to explore new things and find few best/bad/okay in me. So thought why not share my experience !!!

Starting with the best !!!

  • I am a Machine Learning Engineer with a bachelors in Civil Engineering. This always made me feel less Confidence, but my trip Vancouver gave me an energy that this is the only field where everyone can come together and build something that is revolutionary irrespective of your background.
  • My First Job
  • One Kaggle Notebook Medal: This is always my dream to become a Grandmaster one day soon.
  • Cooking: Yeah quarantine let me learn cooking (Now, I feel this is one of my best companion)
  • Meeting Andrew Ng in NeurIPS’19
  • Two Publications: One is IEEE Conference and one in Springer

The areas where I feel, I can improve!!!

This life is not perfect, so we have to change our way of living or way of thinking to make the life better.

  • Writing at least one article per day, I feel this will make me think more, read more and communicate better.
  • Kaggle competitions medal: I have been trying to get a medal but couldn't reach there.
  • So talk to more people and find what am I missing…
  • Being strong in basics (read Opencv and DL basics)
  • A constructive planning and acting

Writing this article made think more about me and helped to find where I need to concentrate in next year. I hope this is a great exercise need to be followed by everyone to keep the mind clear. Thank You all for reading !!!
